Using Project Connect
Project Connect is a marketplace that helps customers and independent service providers find and manage work. Users must provide accurate account and project information, use the platform lawfully, protect their account access, and communicate respectfully. Project Connect does not employ providers and does not guarantee that a customer will hire a provider or that a provider will receive jobs or revenue.
Provider qualifications and project decisions
Providers remain responsible for determining whether they are legally qualified for each project and for maintaining required licensing, credentials, insurance, permits, inspections, code compliance, safety practices, and professional scope. Customers are not expected to determine provider licensing or permit law. Project Connect may use verification and eligibility controls, but those controls do not replace the provider's responsibilities.
Original jobs and future work
The original Project Connect job should remain documented through completion. After that job is completed, the customer and provider may choose to work together directly outside Project Connect; Project Connect does not own their relationship. Warranty issues, change orders, payments, disputes, or other matters related to the original job may remain connected to its Project Connect record.
Customer cancellations
Before a provider begins traveling, Project Connect imposes no cancellation charge. After a provider marks On Way, the provider may charge a reasonable trip or cancellation fee only if the provider disclosed it beforehand. After work starts, the customer may owe for work actually performed and materials reasonably committed or used. The provider sets and discloses any trip fee; Project Connect does not set that amount.
Provider subscriptions
A provider may cancel a subscription at any time. Cancellation stops the next renewal, and access continues through the paid billing period. Subscription payments generally are not prorated or refunded except for billing error or where law requires. A subscription does not guarantee jobs or revenue.
Disputes
Customers and providers should first try to resolve disputes directly. Project Connect may preserve or provide platform records and limited administrative support, but it does not act as a judge or arbitrator. This beta version does not require mandatory arbitration, and normal lawful remedies remain available.
